In one of the most exciting concerts of the 2012/13 season, world renowned Conductor Laureate of the Milwaukee Symphony who was instrumental in the orchestra’s rise to national prominence, Andreas Delfs, teams with The Phoenix Symphony to provide an unequalled programming experience. A frequent partner to the world's most renowned solo artists including Emanuel Ax, Joshua Bell, Yo-Yo Ma and Renée Fleming, Andreas Delfs comes to Phoenix as another in the amazing guest conductor lineup of the 2012/13 season to conduct virtuoso, television and recording artist Anne Akiko Meyers in one of the most demanding concertos in the repertoire, Barber’s Violin Concerto. Then, in a unique and once in a lifetime experience, Delfs will conduct both Anne Akiko Meyers and our very own, internationally renowned Concertmaster Steven Moeckel in Bach’s Double Violin Concerto considered one of the best examples of work from the late Baroque period.
