Bringing the excitement of the next generation of great conductors to Scottsdale, join The Phoenix Symphony as Daniel Meyer makes his triumphant debut. Described as “charismatic” and a “powerfully-expressive creator” with “flowing signals and agile body language,” Meyer as Music Director of the Asheville Symphony and Erie Philharmonic has reinvigorated both orchestras with innovative programs with a unique dedication to his audiences. He leads The Phoenix Symphony and Van Cliburn Piano Competition Finalist and First Prize Winner of the Cleveland Piano Competition Chu-Fang Huang in Saint-Saëns’ Piano Concerto No. 2. This graceful and charming work is paired with Dvořák's exhilarating Symphony No. 6 considered to be even greater than the “New World” among most musicians and scholars today. Join Maestro Meyer as he also conducts Theofanidis’ musically and spiritually inspired Rainbow Body, one of the most beloved works by a living composer.

An additional performance will be held at Tempe Center for the Arts on March 1, 2013. For tickets or information click HERE
